This Privacy Policy explains how Skillsstore ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use skillsstore.ai (the "Service"). Contact: contact@skillsstore.ai.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: email, display name, profile picture (when you sign in with Google).
• Workspace content: skills (Markdown files, metadata, version history) you author or import.
• Usage data: requests, timing, error reports (Sentry), and product telemetry tied to your workspace.
• Billing data: handled by Stripe; we store only customer IDs and subscription status, never card numbers.

2. Google OAuth and Google user data

When you sign in with Google, we request the openid, email, and profile scopes. We use this data only to:

• create and authenticate your account;
• display your name and avatar in the workspace UI to other members of your workspace.

We do not sell, transfer, or share Google user data with third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes. Google user data is stored in our EU-hosted database (Neon, Frankfurt) and is never used to train AI/ML models.

3. How we use your data

• Operate the Service (auth, workspaces, skill storage).
• Send transactional emails (workspace invites, billing).
• Detect abuse, debug errors, and improve reliability.

• Upstash (rate limiting)

5. Retention

We retain account and workspace data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing contact@skillsstore.ai. We delete within 30 days of confirmation, except where law requires longer retention (e.g. tax records).

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Email us to exercise them. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted and audit-logged. Report security issues to contact@skillsstore.ai.

8. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and notify workspace owners by email for material changes.
